ARRIVAL – OCTOBER 13, 2026 – NAIROBI, KENYA

Plan to arrive to Nairobi on October 13, 2026. We will host welcome drinks and food at Afrika House in Nairobi on the evening of October 13, 2026. This is a great way to connect before heading to the bush.

Your accommodations in Nairobi on October 13, 2026 are not included with your ticket. We understand arrival times and hotel preferences are personal, so you are encouraged to secure your own accommodations on October 13. Here are a few good options:

  • Hemingways, Nairobi – luxury, high-end option

  • Tamarind Tree Hotel – convenient, right next to Nairobi Wilson Airport (the domestic airport where our charter flight to Sarara will depart from on October 14)

  • Crowne Plaza – great airport hotel at JKIA (international airport in Nairobi)

  • Celine and Lolo – charming new boutique French-style hotel. Also a lovely spot to spend the day on departure day (October 20) before catching international flights. Pool day passes are available for $20 per person for the day, rooms separately.

DEPARTURE TO SARARA – OCTOBER 14, 2026 – NAIROBI to SARARA

Our charter flight from Nairobi to Sarara Camp will depart from Nairobi Wilson Airport (WIL) at 10am on October 14, 2026. See luggage rules below for important information and plan to pack accordingly. The charter flights into Sarara can only carry 15kg (33 lbs) of checked luggage per person.

RETURN TO NAIROBI – OCTOBER 20, 2026 – SARARA TO NAIROBI

Our charter flight back to Nairobi will arrive at Nairobi Wilson Airport (WIL) at 12pm on October 20, 2026.

If you are departing from Nairobi on October 20, 2026, plan to catch an early evening / night time flight out of JKIA to avoid any missed flights.

LUGGAGE / BAGGAGE LIMITS

Although international flights allow up to 2 x 25kg (2 x 25 lbs) pieces of luggage, the charter flights into Sarara can only carry 15kg (33 lbs) of checked luggage per person. Carry on bags are limited to 5kg (11 lbs) per person. Soft sided bags are strongly recommended.
